R. LeClair
R. LeClair was born and raised in the Southern Oregon and Northern California region of the Cascade Mountain Range. Most of her childhood spent in the great outdoors. For an only child (at the time) her horse and imagination were her constant companions. One day her father bought her a journal as her love of telling tales began early and it all blossomed from there.
She continues to live in Southern Oregon, enjoying time with her children, grandchildren, family and friends, and writing her next great story.
Award winning Author R. LeClair’s book, “Book of Dreams”, won both the International Impact Book Award and the POTY (Person of the Year) Award in the Historical Fiction Category and was a Finalist at the American Writing Awards for the Woman’s Fiction and Religious Fiction Categories.
I love to write historical fiction because I believe the past can teach us so much. It’s a shame really, we don’t look at history more often; to show and teach us where we’ve been, and to appreciate where we are now. There are many stories woven together to make extraordinary moments in time, each version individually experienced make an amazing story all on its own but join them together and you’ve created something quite special.
